Wellness Program FAQs

1. What are the Wellness Program requirements? Is my spouse eligible? 

Information regarding all Wellness Program requirements can be found at Employee Wellness Program – City of Corpus Christi (benefitscc.org/wellness). Spouses are eligible if they are on the City medical plan, but the requirements are different than they are for employees. Visit the link above for more information.

 

2. Do I need to complete all three buckets (Physical Health, Financial Health, and Emotional Health)? 

Yes, employees must complete at least one activity in each wellness bucket (Physical Health, Financial Health, and Emotional Health). However, employees hired after 11/1/2023 have pro-rated wellness bucket requirements. Contact Wellness@cctexas.com if you are uncertain how many buckets you are required to complete.

 

3. How do I know which requirements I’ve completed

You can keep track of your progress using Wellable, the City’s new employee wellness platform. More information and the registration link are available at Wellable – City of Corpus Christi (benefitscc.org).

 

4. What wellness activities are taking place this month?

5. Where can I make an appointment for a Catapult biometric screening?

6. How do I access the online health assessment?

7. If Wellness Program requirements are not met by 6/30/2024, can I get an extension? Can my spouse still earn the discount if I do not? 

No extensions are offered to employees or their spouses. As long as your spouse is on your insurance plan, they can earn the discount if they complete a wellness exam and online health assessment between 7/1/2023 to 6/30/2024.

 

8. I do not see the discount on my check. Did I earn the discount? 

Starting in October 2022, the $20 discount is deducted directly from your insurance premium and not itemized on your check. If you are uncertain if you’re receiving the discount, email Wellness@cctexas.com for verification.

 

9. Do I receive the discount immediately after completing all the Wellness Program requirements? 

Employees must complete all program requirements between 7/1/2023 to 6/30/2024. If you meet all the requirements, you will receive the discount effective 10/1/2024.
